Chew on this From Who's Being Naive, an article by Tim Wise on ZNet: I don't know what to think about all of this anymore, but I think about it ALL THE TIME. It's exhausting. The last two months have felt so personally relevant -- a personal moral crossroads -- though I'm not involved in any way except by citizenship. My leanings, as always, are leftist and pacifist. I really don't think bombing Afghanistan's hospitals into crumbs during Ramadan is the right answer. But I have nothing to offer the debate but criticism and skepticism. I'm just glad I'm not president, I guess. :p Has anyone seen good, well-reasoned coverage and commentary? I am sick as hell of propaganda... from both supporters and critics of the war. I act as if more information, better information, will somehow clarify this for me. It won't. 2 Nov 2001 at 08:17 PM
