I wish I had some interesting photos to share of the branch that was precariously suspended from our power line for two days; or the ice that encrusted each individual holly berry and rosemary leaf in our yard; or the fabulous gourmet meals we're cooking on the camping grill with food that is more likely to spoil inside the dead refrigerator than out of it.

But I don't, because my camera batteries are dead and there is no power to plug them in to be recharged (or to do anything else, for that matter, unless it's in the computer lab on campus). The sleepover game we've been playing with friends since Wednesday is losing its novelty...

Someone with a generator, come be our best friend!
