Whew!

Some of you may have noticed that Pohadka had a small, um, domain registration issue last week. My hosting company was less than diligent about letting me know it was up for renewal. Thanks for nothing, JaguarPC!

Some of you may also have noticed that Pohadka has been, um, rather silent as of late. It has been a Very Busy Semester. I am busy broadening minds, not to mention trying to publish a few things of my own. And yet, I somehow found time to make a quilt for Alice & David's dear darling new son, Griffin. (Some of you may remember Griffin from July.) No, I had never quilted before, but my friend Joanna made it look so easy that I was inspired... and, I soon learned, deceieved. I think I do not have the requisite patience for the detailed and painstaking work that piecing a quilt requires. My resulting project was not exactly the height of precision, nor even totally flat, but the cool fabrics I found sort of distract you from that fact.
